Company

ACube Systems S.r.l. started in january 2007 from the synergy of three important Italian companies and one passionate individual.

Alternative Holding Group Srl, Soft3 and Virtual Works have been engaged in the fields of the sale, distribution and engineering of hardware and software for mainstream systems and alternative platforms for years. With Philippe Ferrucci, they have joined their efforts in the realization of the Sam440ep platform creating a company that will manage the project design, the production and the commercialization of this innovative product.

All four entities will continue their own independent activity, supplying at the same time know-how and support to the new company.

The main target of ACube Systems is to create and promote innovative products in the hardware and software fields thanks to an in-house research and development team supported by collaborations with some well-known Italian and international teams.

	Hyperion Entertainment is the company behind the development of AmigaOS 4.x for a wide range of PowerPC equipped devices. The company also specializes in 3D graphics and 3D driver development, firmware (U-Boot) development for embedded systems, IT consulting and the conversion of high quality entertainment software from Windows to niche platforms including Amiga, Linux (x86 and PowerPC) and MacOS.
	CRUX PPC is a port of CRUX for the Power Architecture platform. It’s a GNU system with a Linux kernel and is ready to run on ACube Sam440ep modular board. CRUX PPC includes support for laptop-specific features, extended hardware support and server tools.
	Nexus Technology BV was established in 2000 by a group of experts on heat conductivity and noise reduction in the computer industry. The founders have build up an in depth knowledge and experience on heat conductivity issues and thermal characteristics by working closely with many of the larger pc manufacturers for several years.
